Nicol Ragland studied Photography at the Colorado Institute of Art from 1995 to 1997 with a focus on travel and documentary work.
She moved to Los Angeles soon after and has continued her freelance photography through coverage of Burma, Cambodia, Laos, India, Nepal, Thailand, Belize, Costa Rica, Kenya, Morocco, Rwanda and Tanzania. Nicol’s documentary work has told the story of a home for the mentally ill located in West Hollywood, The Federation of Black Cowboys located in Queens, New York and most recently The Hadzabe tribe of Tanzania.
Nicol lives in Venice, California.
